Popcorn Balls Anyone?

About a week before Halloween I began wondering why I hadn’t made popcorn balls in so long. They’re such a classic fall treat. So I decided to look up a recipe on the internet, get the ingredients, and get started. Then I remembered why it had been so long. I hate making popcorn balls. They’re not difficult to make in any sense of the word, they’re just a total pain in the ass. By the time I realized my mistake I was already too deep in. I finished making them, envisioning glorious reviews from my kids. Yeah. Here’s the second reason I won’t be making them again, nobody ate them. In fact, the 2 week old balls are still sitting on the counter. Not a great success. But apparently my son loved the individually premade store bought popcorn ball he got in his goodies from preschool. He ate it right up, about 2 feet away from my homemade popcorn balls, which were rotting on the counter.

Next year I’m buying the pre-made, store-bought popcorn balls.
